Season of Drought combines documentary interviews, live-action narrative scenes, and traditional 2D animation to explore the harsh realities of homelessness in modern America. The film follows Devin, a fictional young girl experiencing homelessness, whose story unfolds alongside real-life interviews.
About Us:
Season of Drought was created by Michelle Lampkin, a published author and business owner with a passion for storytelling and addressing social issues. All Season of Drought film projects stem from and are loosely based on her book, Society and the Social War, which examines a broad range of societal issues and explores the pain of navigating them through poetry and prose. Her film projects expand on these themes, bringing powerful human experiences and societal struggles, including homelessness, to the screen.
